FAQ s about your presentation:
Why?
As mentioned on our syllabus you must give a presentation.This is to assess your speaking skills in a specified time.
How long?
10 mins.
What (to present) ?
You have three choices:
1.An interview
2.A Role Play of a job interview
3.A Lecture
How?
An interview with a professional: You will conduct an interview with someone in a professional area. Then the observations and the impression about the professonal will be reported with interpretations of the responses received. ( not sth like “I asked ..., he replied .....”)
A Role Play of a job interview. It’s a pair work activity. An employer and an employee at a table( and / or exchange roles of an employer and a job applicant) The format and the scenario is up to the pair. Each student will be assessed according to his / her efforts individually.
Lecture HOW TO DEVELOP A GOOD CAREER . You will gather information about how to build a good career, organise your data and present it orally like an expert within the given time span. ( or of job a description :Students will present information about a profession.) No powerpoint presentation is necessary.
Where?
In the rooms that we have classes regularly.
When?
The presentation will take place between May 21-28.
Score: 15 points. The rubric will be presented later.
